About Your Professor
Mrs. Carolyn Omiteru is a Registered Nurse in the state of Colorado. She has been teaching the nurse’s
aide program since 2016. She became an American Heart Association instructor in 2016 and enjoys
teaching CPR and first aid classes. Carolyn has been teaching the QMAP class since 2007 and the
assisted living administrator course since 2020. She is the owner, program director and primary
instructor of Colorado Nurses Aide School which is also part of Colorado Medical Health Training
(CMHT). Carolyn was a nurse’s aide and licensed practical nurse (LPN) before obtaining her associates in
nursing from Arapahoe Community College and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of
Regis. She has also served 8 years in the Army Reserves as a nurse. She has held several clinical and
management positions in the healthcare industry. Her and her husband does business management and
start up consultation (Oasis Management). Carolyn is married with a son.
