CNA Test and Skills Details:

Each NNAAP CNA licensing exam consists of two (2) parts, Written (or Oral) Examination and Skills Evaluation. Both will be given on the same day.

The Written Examination consists of seventy (70) multiple-choice questions and allotted time of two (2) hours to complete.  During the Skills Evaluation you will be asked to perform five (5) randomly selected nurse aides skills. You will be given twenty-five (25) minutes to complete the five (5) skills.  In order to pass the skills part of the exam, the skills have to be performed according to the steps outlined in the Colorado State Candidate handbook you will receive in the class.

Mouth Care for the Unconscious Resident
Give the Resident Perineal Care (Female Resident)
Position the Resident in a Fowler's Position
Partial Bed-Bath (Upper Body): Face, Neck, Chest, Abdomen, Arms, Hands
Shave the Resident
Position the Resident in a Side-Lying (Lateral) Position
Give the Resident a Back Rub (Massage)
Clean and trim the residents fingernails
Brush the Resident's Dentures
Give the Resident a Partial Bed Bath (Lower Body)-Hips, legs, Feet
Dress the resident with a paralyzed / contracted arm
